10. Cream of Tartar and Lemon

11. Horseradish

It belongs to the cabbage family and best known for its spicy, pungent, sinus-clearing properties. The natural compound present in this plant, AITC (allyl isothiocyanate contains a very strong antimicrobial effect, making it very potent in killing the bacteria causing UTI. It attacks the cellular membrane of the bacterium, making it highly impossible to multiply or even survive.

What you’ll need:

  • A glass of water or milk
  • Cheese grater
  • Half A teaspoon of fresh horseradish root (grated)

Just take half a teaspoon to one teaspoon of fresh horseradish root twice a day. However, in case that your stomach starts to become upset, you should stop taking this remedy. Likewise, if it’s hard for you to take the spice, have a glass of water or milk nearby. Most people prefer milk because water could spread the spice around, making it stronger.
